The world’s highest Ferries wheel has opened in Las Vegas from where one can view city from 550 feet high.
The High roller stands at a remarkable 168 metres tall and has 28 cabins which can fit up to 40 people each and it takes 30 minutes for a full revolution.
It is the world’s tallest observation wheel 550-foot (167.6 m) which is taller than the 541-foot (165 m) Singapore Flyer, the previous record-holder for the world’s tallest observation from 2008 until 2014.
It took three years to construct the High Roller which now opened to the public on March 31, 2014.Arup Engineering is responsible for High Roller’s structure plan, which previously worked on the Singapore Flyer as well.
Jon Gray, vice president and general manager of THE LINQ, the open air-dining, retail and entertainment district where the High Roller is located said “It’s really an art piece on the Las Vegas skyline, from the dynamic lightning sequences to the overall engineering and architecture that it adds to the skyline.”
He further adds “It’s a new icon that everyone, locals and tourists alike, have embraced. We’ve really enhanced the Las Vegas skyline.”
The High Roller which can fit up to 1,120 people, its riding ticket prices vary during day time and night time. It cost $24.95/£15 in day time and $34.95/£21 at night time.
