Simon Cowell’s Got talent a reality show Wins Guinness World Record

On 7th April 2014, Simon Cowell’s creation has set a record after holding the Guinness World Record for most successful reality television format.

The record has place on the number of international adaptations the show has spawned. The talent competition has had 59 versions worldwide including series in the US, Afghanistan, and the recent versions in Kazakhstan, Iceland, Moldova and Brazil. It is adapted in 58 countries with two in Belgium.

The mogul of reality show Simon Cowell said “I am very proud that Got Talent is a home grown British show. We owe its success to a group of very talented producers all over the world who have made this happen. And of course amazing talent.”

Alistair Richards the president of Guinness World Records confirmed: “We are delighted to confirm that Got Talent has broken the previous world record and is now the official Guinness World Record holder for the most successful reality television format, a landmark moment in television record breaking history. Congratulations!.”

The previous title holder of Guinness World record for reality show format was the famous BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, which is been adapted in 38 countries as Dancing with the Stars, including USA, Japan, India and Chile.

This talent (Got the talent) show landed in UK in June 2007, a British television talent show competition and originated from the Got Talent franchise. The show is a mix of all talents like singing, dancing; magic’s and even includes the talent of animals. There is no age limit to participate in this talent show anyone can give their audition. Later with best acts chosen will compete against each other in order to gain the audience support trying to win the title.
The show has produced amazingly talented artists who’s been praised and known all over the globe.

Susan Boyle from Britain’s Got Talent, has gone to sell over 20 million records worldwide, a nine-year old singer Amira Willighagen for Holland’s Got Talent, received more than 50% of the television viewers’ vote and the 10-year old classical singer Jackie Evancho from America’s Got Talent.
