The cab driver from Nepal residing in US since ten years has won $1.9 million of lottery.
Fifty-year-old Mahendra KC who lives in the Bay Area and drives a yellow cab in San Francisco now is the owner of Mega millions lottery ticket that was sold at the Huntington Liquor store in San Bruno. Mahendra KC the lottery winner has collected the fortune in Wednesday. He paid just $1 for Mega Millions Quick Pick which matched five of the six numbers in Tuesday’s big $ 414 jackpot draw.
The lottery winner have not decided yet what to do with all the money but KC’s son Niranjan said that family is planning to use some of money to seek organ transplant for their grandparents, and to have KC’s chronic heart problem addresses and to pay off their student loans as well. KC’s wife works as a housekeeper at San Francisco hotel and his children’s are studying.
Niranjan said “My dad has been buying lottery for 10 years, hoping he would get the jackpot or some big amount.” “He is really excited about it. He was lost for words.”
Due to excitement of winning the lottery with such a huge amount KC turned up at the lottery office to claim his fortune the minute it opened on Wednesday.
