Missing Nepal Airlines plane crash
The Nepal Airlines twin otter which was missing from Sunday evening has been found.
The aircraft was heading towards Jumla carrying 18 passengers including crew members found all dead. The wreckage aircraft was located on Monday in the western district of Arghakhanchi on the hill called Masinelek.
According to Bimlesh Lal Karna, from the Nepal’s Civil Aviation authority, it was difficult for emergency services to land due to difficult territory. He said, “It was very difficult for the rescue helicopters to land there. But they finally did”.
“All the 18 bodies have been brought to Kathmandu they will be handed over to the family members after the post-mortem.”
The name of the passengers who were on the board has been confirmed as;
Manab Sejuwal, Rajendra Devekota, Tek Bahadur Mahatara, Nanda Mahatara, D Mahatara, Gauri Kathayat, Dr. IB Pokhrel, Barsa Hamal with child, BP Upadhyay, U Tamang, R Chaulagain, ID Shrestha, D Neupane, DR Shah, M Mathiesen (Danish National). Including Captain Shankar Shrestha, co-pilot Rabindra Banjara and Air hostess Muna Maharjan.
