Malaysian Airlines crashed in Ukraine
Malaysian Airline with 295 people on board including 15 crew members has crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border. Flight took off from Amsterdam with its destination city to Kuala Lumpur.
According to the Malaysian Airlines it had lost contact with Flight MH17 from Amsterdam.
Malaysia Airlines said via its Twitter feed: “Malaysia Airlines has lost contact of MH17 from Amsterdam.The last known position was over Ukrainian airspace. More details to follow.”
The incident happened on the Ukrainian side of the Russia- Ukraine border, scene of tension in between the two countries. Report coming as the plane could have been shot down.
But the report of bringing down the aircraft is denied by the Pro-Russia separatists in Donetsk according to Interfax. “The plane was shot down by the Ukrainian side. We simply have no air defence systems of this kind,” separatist spokesman Sergey Kavtaradze told.
The reason behind the disappearance of MH370’s remains a mystery, with investigators suggesting the plane was deliberately diverted from its course, but no one had information whether the pilots were responding to an emergency or whether there was vicious intent.
Broken pieces of wing marked with Malaysia Airlines’ red and blue have been seen among the wreckage at the scene according to Reuters reporter.
