Gravity and 12 Years a Slave were the big winners at Oscars

‘Gravity’ and ‘12 years Slave’ were the winners at the Oscars. Mathew McConaughey for the role in Dallas Buyers Club and Cate Blanchet for the role in Blue jasmine bagged the award for best Actor/Actress in a leading role.
Gravity is a British-American 3D science-fiction thriller and space drama film, directed by Alfonso Cuaron who became the first Latin American to with the best Director Award. The move bagged six Oscars for technical achievement.
12 Years Slave is a British-American historical drama film by British director Steve McQueen. The movie is based in the true story of Solomon Northup, recounts the harrowing tale of a black violinist from New York State who was Kidnapped and sold into slavery before the US Civil War. The film success to grab other awards as well like Lupita Nyongo won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role including for the Best Adapted Screenplay.
Mathew McConaughey beat the award for the role as Ron Wood roof, an electrician and rodeo cowboy suffering from AIDs with the talented Actors like Leonardo Dicaprio(The Wolf of Wall Street), Christian Bale (American Hustle), Bruce Dern (Nebraska) and Chiwetel Ejiiofor (12 Years a Slave).
The 44 year old Australian Actress Cate Blanchet won the 86th Academy Award for the role of Jasmine in Jasmine in Blue beating off her competitive stunning actresses like Amy Adams(American Hustle),Sandra Bullock (Gravity), Judi Dench (Philomena) and Meryl Streep(August:Ostage County).
